How to Report an Outage
First Step: Check the lights and appliances in other rooms. If you still have power in some areas, most likely a circuit breaker has opened or a fuse has blown- which is a sign of overloaded wiring or a defective appliance.
Second Step: If all your power is off, check to see if your neighbors have power. This will help Ozark Electric determine how widespread the outage may be.
Third Step: If the outage is not due to a problem at your home or business, call Ozark Electric Cooperative at 417-466-2144 or 1-800-947-6393. Dispatchers are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please be ready to give your location number or account number to the dispatcher when calling in. These are both printed on your bill. |
