Energy Class 2021

Ozark Electric Cooperative was honored to sponsor Kameron Coates of Willard for the Energy in Today’s Classroom conference held back in August. Energy in Today’s Classroom is a two-day graduate level course offered through the University of Missouri-Columbia. The course provides teachers with a background in energy and energy production.

On the first day Kameron and other sponsored teachers from across the state covered course material on energy basics and effecency, worked hands on with circuitry projects, and learned about power, generation, and transmission. Day two they covered energy sources, economics and production, had a demonstration of an electric vehicle, and finished with a tour of a local power plant.

We are ecxited for Kameron and others to teach what they have learned back in their classrooms. Thank you Kameron for investing in the next generation!
