Scholarships

Student Eligibility

1. Scholarships are available to current graduating seniors attending a public or private high school or being homeschooled within Ozark Electric Cooperative’s nine-county service area:  Barry, Christian, Dade, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, Newton, Polk, or Stone counties. Immediate family members of Ozark Electric employees or board directors are ineligible to apply.


Eligible High Schools: Ash Grove, Aurora, Billings, Clever, Crane, Dadeville, Everton, Galena, Greenfield, Homeschool Students, Hurley, Lighthouse Christian, Lockwood, Marionville, Miller, Monett, Mt. Vernon, Nixa, Ozark, Pierce City, Purdy, Reeds Spring, Republic, Sarcoxie, Springfield Schools, Verona, Walnut Grove, Willard. 


2. Student does not have to be a member of Ozark Electric Cooperative to be eligible.


3. Scholarship is only for graduating high school seniors who plan to attend college/trade school.


4. Student must have achieved a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.


5. Application must be completed with all required documentation and submitted by your High School Counselor or Homeschool Instructor NO LATER THAN Friday, March 20, 2026.


6. Your Counselor/Home School Instructor should complete their portion of the application and mail or e-mail to Ozark Electric by NO LATER THAN Friday, March 27, 2026.

7. Ozark Electric receives around 180 scholarship applications - late or incomplete applications will not be considered.


Scholarship Provisions

1. Maximum of 20 scholarships will be awarded each year.


2. Monetary value of each scholarship will be a maximum of $500 each.


3. Scholarships are non-renewable and designated for the first year of post-secondary education only.


4. Ozark Electric Cooperative reserves the right to make the initial announcement of scholarship winners via social media (Facebook, co-op website, etc.) and print media.


5. Scholarship recipients may be recognized at high school awards day functions or graduation ceremonies, and student will receive the monies in June or July.


6. Scholarships under this program shall be awarded to qualified candidates without any unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or political affiliation.
