Scholarships

Student Eligibility:

1.     This scholarship is available to any current *graduating senior attending a public or private high school or being homeschooled within Ozark Electric Cooperative’s nine-county service area boundary:  Barry, Christian, Dade, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, Newton, Polk, or Stone counties. (*Immediate family members of Ozark Electric employees or board directors are ineligible to apply.)


2.     Student does not have to be a member of Ozark Electric Cooperative to be eligible.


3.     Scholarship is only for graduating high school seniors who plan to attend college/trade school.


4.     Student must have achieved a 2.5 or higher grade point average.


5.     Application must be completed in full and returned with all required documentation to your high school counselor by March 15, 2024, or it will not be considered. If homeschooled, return directly to Ozark Electric by deadline.

Scholarship Provisions:

1.     Maximum of 20 scholarships will be awarded each year.


2.     Monetary value of each scholarship will be a maximum of $500 each.


3.     All scholarships are nonrenewable and designated for the first year of postsecondary education only.


4.     Ozark Electric Cooperative reserves the right to make the initial announcement of scholarship winners via social media (Facebook, co-op website, etc.) and print media.


5.   Scholarship recipients may be recognized at high school awards day functions or graduation ceremonies, and student will receive the monies in July
