Ozark Electric Cooperative - Southwest Missouri

TEACHER/CLASSROOM/SCHOOL PROGRAM GRANTS - GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION

Teacher/Classroom/School Program Grants are available to support innovative educational programs, classroom enhancements, and hands-on learning opportunities that benefit students within the cooperative's service area.

Guidelines:

School districts must be located in or serve residents in our nine-county service area (Barry, Christian, Date, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, Newton, Polk, and Stone).
Application must be filled out completely.
Applicants are not required to hold 501(c)3 status but must demonstrate a clear community benefit and appropriate oversight of funds.
Eligible Applicants (include, but are not limited to):
Teachers, administrators, or school staff within the service area
Public, private, and homeschool cooperative programs may be considered
Eligible Uses (include, but are not limited to):
Classroom materials and supplies
STEM and technical education programs
Innovative teaching projects
Field trips with educational value
Career and workforce readiness initiatives
Ineligible Uses (include, but are not limited to):
Salaries or stipends
Routine operating expenses
Projects already fully funded
Award Amount:
Typically, small to mid-sized grants
Multiple awards encouraged to maximize reach
Selection Criteria:
Creativity and innovation
Student impact and engagement
Feasibility and implementation plan
Alignment with educational outcomes
Accountability:
A designated project lead is required
Documentation (receipts, invoices, or summary) may be required
Administration:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed on a quarterly schedule by the Board of Trustees.
